About Edinburgh English Classes

At Edinburgh English Classes, we help teenagers and adults improve their English step by step. Our methodology follows the CEFR levels and prepares students for Cambridge exams and IELTS, with a balance of speaking, grammar, reading, listening and writing.

Classes are online, so students can join from anywhere in the world.

Our Teaching Approach

At Edinburgh English Classes, we believe that learning English should be practical, communicative, and enjoyable. Our lessons are built around the CEFR levels and integrate all four skills — speaking, listening, reading and writing — with a strong focus on real communication.

We use context-based learning, meaning grammar and vocabulary are always taught in situations that matter to you: daily life, work, travel or exams. Students are encouraged to connect lessons with their own experiences, which helps build fluency and confidence naturally. Progress is always step by step — we don’t believe in quick tricks or shortcuts, only in solid learning that lasts.

Our Services

We offer online group courses for teenagers and adults from Beginner (A1) to Proficiency (C2).

Our courses focus on:

  • General English – build grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading.

  • Exam Orientation – practice tasks and strategies for Cambridge exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE) and IELTS.

  • Speaking Skills – every lesson includes guided conversation and fluency work.


All classes are taught in small groups and are 100% online, so you can join from anywhere.

Exam skills are integrated into our General English courses, so you feel prepared when it’s time to take an international test. Whether aiming for Cambridge (KET, PET, FCE, CAE) or IELTS, you’ll practise with exam-style tasks, strategies and feedback. Preparation is always step by step, following CEFR and Cambridge guidelines, building the skills you need for success.
